Do you prefer typing or handwriting?
考生
I think the answer is twofold. There are two or three factors that determines my willingness to use uh, the typing method or the writing method if I'm in a school. If I'm doing, uh, something that requires a lot of writing, I would prefer handwriting as it is a more convenient and quicker way of doing or solving a question. Otherwise, I would type if the text is short.

Do you type on a desktop or laptop keyboard every day?
考生
Since I don't have a desktop, so I type on the laptop keyboard. But nowadays I'm not using either just because my laptop's uh, keyboard is malfunctioning and a lot of keys are not working properly. So I'm also not able to open uh, the laptop because I cannot even type the answer. So right now I'm just using my phone's keyboard.

When did you learn how to type on a keyboard?
考生
So I was six or seven years old, probably because since childhood I have always been a very active learner. I am a very quick learner. So I just used to watch my father doing work on his laptop and the desktop, and just by seeing him doing those work, I learned to speak or I learned to use the keyboard.

How do you improve your typing?
考生
Uh, so I would rather be honest over here. I'm not very good at typing, neither I have ever tried to do so. And umm, instead of improving my typing skills and instead of typing something, I prefer voice type because I like the convenience of voice type as it does not require much of the hard work and does not require me to improve any of my skills.
Do you prefer typing or handwriting?
分數: 72.0建議: Be more concise and directly answer first, then give one or two clear reasons with specific examples. Avoid filler words (uh, um) and minor grammar errors (subject-verb agreement). Use linking words like 'because' and 'however' to connect ideas and keep to a maximum of 4–5 sentences.
範例: I usually prefer handwriting for long tasks and typing for short notes. For example, during exams I write by hand because it feels faster and I can jot diagrams easily; however, I type short messages or summaries on my phone because it is quicker and easier to edit.
Do you type on a desktop or laptop keyboard every day?
分數: 68.0建議: Start with a clear topic sentence and avoid repeating the same idea. Eliminate unnecessary filler and combine related information with linking words. Mention frequency if relevant (e.g., 'every day' or 'rarely') and be specific about how you manage the situation.
範例: I normally type on a laptop because I don't own a desktop. Recently my laptop keyboard broke, so I can't use it and I now type on my phone instead. This means I type less on a full keyboard each day, but I can still reply quickly to messages on my phone.
When did you learn how to type on a keyboard?
分數: 74.0建議: Give a clear direct answer about timing, then add a concise, specific supporting detail. Avoid vague phrases like 'probably' and repetition. Use past tense consistently and a linking phrase (e.g., 'because' or 'by watching') to explain how you learned.
範例: I learned to type when I was about six or seven years old. I taught myself mainly by watching my father work on his computer and practicing what I saw, which helped me become comfortable with the keyboard early on.
How do you improve your typing?
分數: 60.0建議: Answer directly and avoid negative phrasing and redundancy. If you don't practice, say so briefly and explain why, then give a plan or an alternative (e.g., using voice typing, online lessons). This shows awareness and willingness to improve. Use varied vocabulary and link ideas with 'so' or 'therefore'.
範例: I haven't practiced typing much, so my skill is limited and I usually use voice typing for convenience. However, to improve I plan to practice for 10–15 minutes daily using online typing exercises, which should help me type more accurately and faster over a few weeks.
× There are two or three factors that determines my willingness to use uh, the typing method or the writing method if I'm in a school.
✓ There are two or three factors that determine my willingness to use, uh, the typing method or the writing method if I'm in school.
The subject 'factors' is plural, so the verb must be plural ('determine' not 'determines'). Also 'in a school' is unnatural here; use 'in school' for the general setting. Suggestion: match verb number to the subject and prefer natural prepositional phrase 'in school'.
× If I'm doing, uh, something that requires a lot of writing, I would prefer handwriting as it is a more convenient and quicker way of doing or solving a question.
✓ If I'm doing, uh, something that requires a lot of writing, I would prefer handwriting as it is a more convenient and quicker way of doing or solving a question.
No grammar change required for participle form here; sentence is acceptable. Note: 'doing or solving a question' is slightly awkward but not listed in the allowed error types. Keep as is.
× Since I don't have a desktop, so I type on the laptop keyboard.
✓ Since I don't have a desktop, I type on the laptop keyboard.
Using both 'since' and 'so' together is redundant. Use one linking word. Suggestion: remove 'so' when you start the clause with 'since'.
× But nowadays I'm not using either just because my laptop's uh, keyboard is malfunctioning and a lot of keys are not working properly.
✓ But nowadays I'm not using either because my laptop's keyboard is malfunctioning and many keys are not working properly.
Remove redundant 'just' for clarity and change 'a lot of keys' to 'many keys' for formality. Also avoid filler 'uh'. Maintain tense consistency.
× So I'm also not able to open uh, the laptop because I cannot even type the answer.
✓ So I'm also not able to use the laptop because I cannot even type the answers.
'Open the laptop' suggests physically open; context means 'use' the laptop. Change 'the answer' to 'the answers' or 'an answer' depending on context. Remove filler 'uh'.
× So right now I'm just using my phone's keyboard.
✓ So right now I'm just using my phone keyboard.
Both forms are acceptable, but 'my phone keyboard' is more concise and common. Removing possessive ' 's ' can sound more natural in this context. This is a style suggestion within allowed types.
× So I was six or seven years old, probably because since childhood I have always been a very active learner.
✓ I was six or seven years old, probably, because since childhood I have always been a very active learner.
Sentence is mostly fine; remove leading 'So'. Ensure punctuation to separate ideas. Tense usage 'was' and present perfect 'have always been' is correct because it links past age to an ongoing characteristic.
× I just used to watch my father doing work on his laptop and the desktop, and just by seeing him doing those work, I learned to speak or I learned to use the keyboard.
✓ I used to watch my father working on his laptop and desktop, and by watching him do that work, I learned to use the keyboard.
Use 'working' for continuous action and 'desktop' without 'the'. 'Those work' is incorrect; use 'that work' or 'those tasks'. 'Learned to speak' is irrelevant; remove it. Simplify repetition. Maintain parallel structure: 'watching him do'.
× Uh, so I would rather be honest over here. I'm not very good at typing, neither I have ever tried to do so.
✓ So, to be honest, I'm not very good at typing; I have never really tried to improve.
'Neither I have ever tried' is ungrammatical. Use direct negative statement: 'I have never really tried'. 'Would rather be honest over here' is odd; use 'to be honest'.
× And umm, instead of improving my typing skills and instead of typing something, I prefer voice type because I like the convenience of voice type as it does not require much of the hard work and does not require me to improve any of my skills.
✓ Instead of improving my typing skills or typing something, I prefer voice typing because I like its convenience; it does not require much effort and does not force me to improve my skills.
Avoid repeating 'instead of' twice; use 'or'. 'Voice type' should be 'voice typing' or 'voice input'. 'Much of the hard work' is awkward: use 'much effort'. Simplify and remove filler 'umm'.
